This is a follow up on Down Memory Lane. We hope to be developing a series of life stories through pictures: The vignettes should tell a story... and we will try to add some notes as we go along... recapturing memories of individual lives and families as we reconstruct the story of a community and bring it to life through the images... that are available to share... Great projects must begin somewhere, and modest beginnings are often the promise of greater things to come... so we hope....
The collection that follows has much to tell us about such themes as mother-child bonding, and how the family constitutes the prime incubator of attitudes and characters that impact on the development of community and affect the direction it can take in its growth and advancement... These are topics of relevance among other areas to the field of socialization as we take an interest in re-examining it in the context of reconstructing our ummatic or community sciences in the optics of renewal and rejuvenation... (see our projections in the tawhidi episteme and the civilizational perspective that provide the guiding impetus to our cultural venture that embraces muslim women studies, among other political and social arenas of intellectual and academic inquiry... The idea is that tracking an individual's life story has implications that go beyond its immediate joyous sphere... and can add new dimensions to the more conventional areas of culture and life sciences that streamline our academic curricula...
