On April 23rd 2002, Dr. Zahira attended the annual General Council of the Association of the Friends of Children with Rheumatic Heart Disease - Even up to the very end, when her physical strength had waned beyond repair, she maintained her mental acumen and her spiritual reserves unimpaired... she would never say die... and, as always, she would bring herself through a matchless resolve, to go that extra mile, not to disappoint.. indeed, to surprise all ... It turned out to be her last farewell...
That photo was taken exactly one week before she was admitted one last time... to the Qasr al Eini... where for over five decades she had been in the business of saving lives... May Allah grant her the bliss and recompense that only He can assure his devotees...
